This month's program features the Texas 200, a 200 mile rally (not a race) from Port Isabel to Port O'Connor Texas over a period of six days. The route follows the Laguna Madre, an inside passage between Padre Island and an uninhabited stretch of Texas coastline. Participants typically sail small boats and haul up on the beach at 5 designated campsites along the way sailing 35 miles or so each day. They are totally unsupported and therefore must be self sufficient for the entire distance making for truly rugged event. We'll also have a presentation about plans for relaunching our ship's store along with the usual racing and social news. Should be an interesting meeting. See you there.
